In 1911 Harrison was a boarder at 25 Mountain, Queensbury, he was living with the Fielding’s a couple both in their 80s. His age was 22 and his occupation is shown as dresser, stone quarry. His parents were John Edwin and Harriet and he had seven siblings, in 1891 the family lived in Denholme and that was Harrison’s place of birth.
Harrison who had previously served in the York and Lancaster Regiment was serving in the 4th Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment when he died on 23rd March 1918. The Register of Soldiers Effects states, on or since, below the date and gives the place name of Peronne. Harrison would have been a casualty of the German spring offensive (operation Michael). He has no known grave and is named on the POZIERES MEMORIAL (Panel 31 and 32).
