Son of John Thomas Grange and Clara Grange, of Queensbury; husband of Irene Grange.  Willie served in the Royal Armoured Corps as a Corporal with the 2nd Lothians and Border Horse.  Willie died on 22nd February 1943, aged 24.  He is buried at ENFIDAVILLE WAR CEMETERY, Tunisia.           

A search of the electoral roll shows John and Clara living on Morpeth Street, Queensbury.  Irene, who Willie married in summer 1940, can be found on the 1946 electoral roll living at 5 Chapel Street.

The 2nd Lothians and Border Horse, a Yeomanry Regiment, served in the 26th Armoured Brigade of 6th Armoured Division, they had arrived in North Africa in November 1942.

Willie’s headstone reads:  “God’s greatest gift, remembrance”.
