Son of Herbert and Ethel Hodgson, of Queensbury. Allan served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve as a Flight Sergeant. He died on 23rd September 1946, aged 22.
Allan is buried at ROUNDHILL METHODIST BURIAL GROUND.
Probate records for Allan show that he lived at 17 Campbell Street, Queensbury and died in St Luke’s Hospital, Bradford. At present little is known of his service in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
Roundhill burial ground was on Roper Lane, Allan’s headstone, now classed as a memorial plaque can be found built into a wall of the housing that now covers the burial ground.
The inscription, chosen by his mother, reads: “I will see you again and your heart shall rejoice”.
