KENDALL Jack

Jack KENDALL

Son of Calvin and Lucy Kendall; husband of Frances Eileen Kendal.  Jack served in the Lincolnshire Regiment as a Private with the 6th Battalion.  He died on 24th January 1944, aged 35.  Jack is buried at MINTURNO WAR CEMETERY,  Italy.

His grave inscription reads: “At rest”.

The 1932 electoral register records Calvin and Lucy Kendall and their two sons Roland and Jack living at 25 Chapel Street, Queensbury, also living at this address was Sarah Hannah (Anne) Thompson.

Jack married Sarah at Queensbury Parish Church on 14th January 1933, his occupation was a joiner, his father Calvin is recorded as deceased.  The 1939 electoral register shows Jack (carpenter and joiner) and Sarah (unpaid domestic) living at 20 Chapel Lane.  Sarah died in January 1942 at the age of 35, it is unknown if they had any children.  In summer of 1942 Jack married Frances Eileen Bell.
