Albert Hope ROBERTSHAW

Son of Richard and Sarah Robertshaw, of Queensbury.  Albert served in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps as a Private.  He died on 16th August 1941, aged 28.  Albert is buried at QUEENSBURY CEMETERY.

Albert’s death was registered in Newton Abbot, Teignbridge District of Devon, the cause is unknown.

Headstone inscription:  “No greater sacrifice: His life for his country”. 

Albert is not listed on the village war memorial.
